Long Overdue Office Party Fun
My new boss like to work us to the bone. I mean the minute we sit down, he;s ready to talk about tasks completed and such. Well, his work ethic has paid off as the company was given a special industry award. I got some new party supplies as this was a definite reason to celebrate.
We’d been through some tough times and at one point, we were not sure if we were going to have jobs today.. So one day, I got my boss to meet me in the copy room. While it sounded strange to hi, I stressed that it was important and stalled for a few minutes. In the meantime, the rest of our department was gathering so that we could surprise him.
Knowing that his next stop would be to get coffee, entered the break room prepared to make his favorite drink. Then about 50 people yelled out ‘Surpsie!’. One of the managers had a very touching speech for him and it was the first time I ever saw my boss smile.
